This is part of a bigger issue which resulted in airports disappearing

I made a couple of edits yesterday and the roads still show as
rendered (they should not be) and these no-name roads still do not
show the name i gave them even in the temporary state.
this might be a localized problem:

@momers - Can you please elaborate the problem. I would think that
the roads *should* appear as connected & rendered if the rendering has
been completed. Seeing the criss-cross network that you are referring
to, I can see that it is not rendered now due to the delay in
rendering.

highlighted by the fact that intersecting nodes appear raised or
'disconnected' and the road also takes on higher contrast edges. the
entire road appears 'raised' .
the location i mentioned did not exhibit that behaviour after i edited
the roads. roads appeared as if nothing had happened to them!
