How to find acres???

I have built a shape around my field and need to determine the acres that lie in that shape. Is there any way to do this on google map maker or does anyone have a different method???? Thanks in advance.

There is no such tool to find area of a polygon, yet to be introduced.

The best you could do is us the Add a line tool to measure the length and width of the field (the line gives you a live reading of the length as you add nodes).  If the field is more or less rectangular then it will give you a fairly good estimate.  If the field is an odd shape then it may not work well.

You really should be using Google Maps for this and not Mapmaker. Maps has a measurement tool (you may need to turn on Labs) that may be able to help you out. Check out google.com/maps where you can make your own map and use those tools.

Google Earth can also measure distances, and in Google Pro, you can find the area of shapes.
