Editing a Locked Map

I have a question. Could anyone tell me what the process is for adding edits to an area that has a locked map, like this one.

I see that edits have been done. So does the lock icon mean just the border has been locked?

I also noticed part of the editing tools are grayed out. What does that mean?

That lock only indicates that you are not allowed to change the border of Ecuador and that it is also not allowed to change to country name to something like "Jaxcoffee's private mapping country". All other edits like adding roads, villages or restaurants are allowed.

Some editing tools have been grayed out because of the zoom level. It is impossible at that zoom level to accurately position features on the map, which is why a number of editing options are not available. If you zoom in deeper editing tools will become available again.

My map maker has a lock icon on it. So my business name does not show up in my categories.Royal carpet warehouse in chula vista  under carpet store, flooring store, carpet. flooring.My address does not show up on line.my business is home based .A shop at home service...i have made  to many edit and edit to some other...and google tag  me for spam..what do i do. www.royalcarpeting.net   619-507-5302..Marty

Hi,
 We need a link to one or more of the features you are talking about to help:

• zoom in satellite view to the feature
• select it
• select “Details”
• generate the link to the feature using the “chain” icon, near the top right
