Hi, I can't seem to figure out a way to find out how old the satellite imagery is that I am viewing. I have tried to figure it out using both Google Mapmaker and regular Google Maps, and I cannot seem to manage to find the dates the satellite images were taken. I know you can do this in Google Earth, but I do not have that application on my computer, as I use the Google Chromebook and only have internet access. The little black box at the bottom of the pages that used to say how old the images are now only says "copyright 2012 Google," and does not have the date that the images were taken.
If anybody out there knows how to do this, that would be great!

Thanks!

I know that you can view it from Google Earth, but what I want is to be able to view the imagery dates online. I do not have the Google Earth application on my computer, so I cannot use it.

Hi,

Currently there is no option in Google Maps & Map Maker to view the satellite imagery dates. :-(
But, yes you can request it on the Issue Tracker, Issue 137.

Thanks,
