POI classification standard

I am researching the  classification of  POI in Google map maker,but the classification shown in the website is limited. 

I wonder where i can get the whole list of the classification.

there are more than 2000 categories, and what is the classification standard ?

Thanks for your comments and I still have some questions.

1. As to the classification standard, I mean, is the category is three-grade classification or more? why do you chose 10 categories such as  "restaurant ,cafe ... " as the first-grade category ?   according searching statistics?

2. if   the category is  the same as google maps. Or google maps has a set of categories, and google map maker has another one ?

3. I think the category of  users selected  may not be accurate sometimes,even some hoaxes. and how the background process them ?

I'm still not quite understanding what you mean, but if you are referring to the fact that you have both "Restaurant" and "Chinese Restaurant", the guidelines for categories say to only use the most specific category.  That way it does not come up when I search for Mexican Restaurant.

Categories on Maps comes from a number of sources.  The system sets them, we set them in Map Maker, and owners add them in Places.  The system tends to use the Map Maker categories.  The Places list is slightly different, and then many people enter ones that are not in the list.  When mappers are working on an area to clean it up, we'll clean up inappropriate, repetitive and spammy categories.
