Dear Google

I want to add the name of an intersection of roads. It is a very
famous intersection. When I click on the 'Add feature' it asks for the
category.

The category is intersection or round about, which is not given in the
list.

Please guide me on how to do it.
Thanks

You can name roads and intersections. To name either of them, use the
"find" tool, edit the feature in question, and enter the name.

In your case, the roundabout will probably be represented as a road,
not an intersection.

If it's already drawn, you don't need to add a new feature; you just
need to edit an existing road.

You need to add the point as Traffic Circle

Thanks Momers, I have added it as a Traffic Circle. Can u also tell me
that other round abouts and places of interest are shown in the map
with a small red square beside the. whereas when we ( a user ) adds a
point of interest it is shown in the shape of a kind of small balloon.
I want this round about also to be shown just like other round abouts
of the city, as a small square filled in red colour.

Hi Piyush,

You might want to just edit the intersection point (if its a point and not a traffic circle) and add the name of the intersection point/traffic circle there.
This will help in driving directions where the following might happen:

You search for driving directions form Point A to B: "Proceed from "Point A" on "X Road" - 3 Kms, take at right turn at "X intersection/traffic circle", proceed onwards on "Y Road" . . .

If the circle has been captured as a roundabout, then you can just mark the area within the road as a traffic circle using the polygon and name it "X Traffic circle".

I have attached an example of how to mark a traffic circle to this mail.

Hope this is helpful

Cheers
