I'm new to GMM, and my intersets lie in correcting and labeling features within the Kettle Moraine State Forest in Wisconsin.  There is a 115-mile scenic drive (Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive).  The road is already labeled correctly, with the actual road name plus the Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive designation.

My question is why, when you type "Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive" into the search bar on google maps, why is the displayed result not the entire 115 mile road route? (Instead, a single point in the middle is shown, which isn't helpful if you wanted to drive the entire route.  You seem to have to pan and scroll ad infinitum to see track down the route.)

However, when you try to edit the feature, it does show the bounding box for the entire 115 mile route.  So why does it show as a single point, when in fact it is a line?

That's a Maps issue, not a Map Maker issue, and it applies to other roads, such as Interstate 90. It also applies to features with boundaries/buildings associated with them, you only get a point.
