Road Markers or Sheilds for State Highways in India

Hi all,

Currently only National Highways in Google Maps have the shield.

But in Bing and Openstreepmaps sheilds are present for state highways also.

Please consider the suggestion to display state highways also in shields.

It is my pleasure to see shields at least for National Highways.

In the case of Sri Lanka besides repeated requests GMM did not implement the Shields for Sri Lankan National Highways or Regional Highways conrolled by the Central Government as state roads.

I hope GMM will be fair enough to update Sri Lanka map with road Icons or Shields at the earliest

Hi All,

@Naveen and others, That's a valid suggestion and thanks for posting the pictures!

For those highway segments that have a shield sign assigned (in reality, but dont reflect on Map Maker), please report these instances on this thread and we'll look into it. Please note that it may take a while for these shields to get updated on the map.
Also, It would be great if you could provide us with the links to the segments that have highway shields on them.

We requested shields in Moldova like 6 months ago. We make an issue on the Issue Tracker for this request, but no shield on the map until now. Can you tell us when do you resolve that requested issue?

As you have might've already noticed, this issue was acknowledged. Though we can't promise a timeline for fixing this issue, rest assured that we're looking into this and will post back when we have an update.
