Under Construction segment blocking nearby edits (Dallas area)

I really wish this edit by "nobody" would either be approved or reverted. He/she continued something I started: the path of the new segment of the President George Bush Turnpike in northeast Dallas county is easily traceable, so it makes sense to add it to Map Maker with a Construction status of "Started". Right? Well, maybe not.

As long as the "Started" segment is in Pending status, I can't modify any of the roads around it. And that's really a pain, because much of the construction is completed, and I need to add, delete, and reroute several roads that have their edits blocked by this very long segment.

If the segment could be Approved, I think I could make my remaining edits. I'd hate for it to be Rejected, but that would have the same effect. I asked "nobody" to Revert it, but he/she just changed the Construction status -- makes sense, I know I hate losing that much geometry just because some Bozo says "revert your edit because I say so".

PS: I'm not jealous of "my area". If anyone would like to draw some roads based on the aerial view, which is pretty accurate in the area blocked by the "pending" edit above, I won't be bent out of shape -- unless your roads are out of shape!
