Hi,

Have added the google repository on Mandriva 2008.1. There are
problems with missing rpm files when trying to install. Is there a
fix / workaround?

This command line should explain the problem:

[root@bailey ~]# urpmi.update Google
http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/i386/synthesis.hdlist.cz
updated medium "Google"pleted, ETA = --:--:--, speed = 0
[root@bailey ~]# urpmi picasa

http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/i386/picasa-2.2.2820-5.i386.rpm

...retrieving failed: curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404
...retrieving failed: curl failed: exited with 22

Installation failed, some files are missing:
http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/i386/picasa-2.2.2820-5.i386.rpm
You may want to update your urpmi database
[root@bailey ~]# wget http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/i386/picasa-2.2.2820-5.i386.rpm
--2008-04-29 17:05:45-- http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/i386/picasa-2.2.2820-5.i386.rpm

Well, it seems that google removed all dist repos. Or, they just moved
it to other location, but i have no knoledge about that.

my repo:

[google64]
name=Google - x86_64
baseurl=http://dl.google.com/linux/rpm/stable/x86_64
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1

but,
http://dl.google.com/linux ->> NOT FOUND !

It seems that you can find the setup shell in the same place:
wget -c http://dl.google.com/linux/google-repo-setup.sh

but that script has the same repo locations and running it cannot
download the google pub key:

# ./google-repo-setup.sh
Configuring for 'yum' package manager.
Using '/usr/bin/curl' to download key.
ERROR: Failed to download Google key from https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub.
