Hello.

I'm trying to run Picasa on my IPv6-only host. The router I'm using performs automatic NAT64/DNS64, so I can access each and every IPv4-only host via IPv6. However, Picasa doesn't seem to be IPv6-ready. It looks like it doesn't make use of getaddrinfo(3) but uses gethostbyname(3) instead, thus making it impossible to connect to the server if no IPv4 is available.

It'd be good if this was fixed as soon as it can be.

Thanks.

Imagine that Google+ will be the preferred method going forward for uploading images to Picasa Web. Google seems to be turning away from desktop applications. So, I wouldn't count on it being addressed -- However I'm not a Google Employee and I'm not privy to any "special" information.
