Is it true that transliteration support is not available on Google Docs? For example, I was not able to create an HTML document using the normal Devanagari transliteration.

Such support is of course available on GMail!

Am I missing something?

Hi Kedar,

Currently transliteration is enabled in Gmail but not in Google Docs.
However, you can easily use transliteration to edit a Google Docs
document by using the transliteration bookmarklet. You can learn more
about using bookmarklets here: http://code.google.com/p/t13n/

Thanks,
Rahul.

Thanks Rahul, that works.

However, on Ff 3, I was not able to enable and disable the transliteration bookmarklet as documented at: http://t13n.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/blet/docs/help_mr.html#StoreFF. I was not able to see the devanagari अ character on the text field (text-area?) to enable/disable it. This makes it difficult to create a document that contains a transliterated text along with non-transliterated (as in verbatim) characters.

Regards,
Kedar
