How to launch the navbar signin button?

So I created the regular navbar signin button and added the display:none
style to it. Then I had a signup and login link both executing this
Javascript:
jQuery('#navbar').
jQuery('#navbar').
accountChooser('showAccountChooser');
However it said accountChooser wasn't a method on the object. Does this only work for v1 or v2 and not v3? Is there a way to launch the widget in v3?

In general, the documentation for v1/2 does not apply to v3. I believe I answered how to launch the widget in a previous thread, please respond there if you have any further questions.
