Hello All,

Just wanted to let you know that I produced a video about our hurricane preparedness capability and wrote a short blog post about it on my personal blog tonight.

To the Federal Team

I hope that it will prove helpful to John Kaden with DHS / FEMA, potentially Phil Dixon with NGA's Office of the Americas, and probably a few other of the rep's accounts if they have customers asking about the new portable in general.

To the Konbit Team,

Thanks for your help parsing the NOAA NHC feed - would like to sink with you on that process in the future so we could have some sort of automated system for cutting globes based on any cones of uncertainty coming out of NHC's GIS web services.

To the GE Fusion Eng, and GE SE teams,

Thanks for your amazing work on the new portable, the system as a whole and the remarkable performance increases in globe-cutting, it is truly a fantastic product. Also, thanks all of you that helped get the darned globe built and helped me overcome the bug in the 4.0 beta that was plaguing this project for weeks.

Thanks all,

Sean

Sean,

You are a becoming media Mad Man! Excellent presentation.

One suggestion.... You may want to Photoshop that award photo from GeoInt that appears at the very beginning of the video. You look just a little wired with the hair standing up and that slight "celebration glow" from the previous evening emanating from you! ;-)

Seriously, the video is GREAT! I think you need to make a few more like this and then we need to make them available for access, viewing and download in a convenient way at GeoINT.

Excellent video....

Sean - perhaps you might consider a joint Kipendo/GEE Portable blog post up on lat/lon. Powerful stuff you've done here. Great job.
