Invitation URL inconsistencies

I've been having problems with parsing invitation URLs. It seems that
some of the URLs are redirects while others aren't. The private
invitation URLs seem to be consistent, but the public ones will
sometimes contain the user name and album name(which is the part I
need) while some do not (the redirects). In the case of the
redirects, I have to tell my code to follow the link, then grab the
updated URL from that. I was wondering, if there is a method in the
Google Data API that will return an Album Feed or Entry from an
Invitation URL, or if someone has come up with a better method of
doing this that they would like to share that would be great.

Hi Bradley,

I assume you're talking about Picasa Web Albums invitations and trying
to map back to the actual album feed/entry the invitation is using.
That's an interesting use case, though I'm not familiar off-hand with
the different forms of the invitation links. What do the ones without
the user/album names look like?
