Plan for next release?

There hasn't been a release since last May, but there's been quite a few features and fixes since then, some of which we could really use (particularly the maintainType functionality of  RuntimeTypeAdapterFactory).

Are there any plans for cutting a new release soon? Any criteria waiting to be met that I missed from looking through the group and the ReleaseProcess doc?

RuntimeTypeAdapterFactory is not part of any release. You should just copy that source-code directly in your app.

I agree, nonetheless, we should do a release of Gson.

I believe RuntimeTypeAdapterFactory is definitely in 2.8.5. Unless code in the "extras" folder doesn't count as "in the release"? It's still included in the source bundle with that tag, so I think it qualifies haha.

But yeah, there's been quite a few commits since then.
