can no longer post to a usenet group

For about 2 weeks, can no longer post to a usenet group via Gurgle Gripes.
You get a yellow alert box saying your message is taking a long time to process.
It does not appear in the group.
Then later I get an e-mail from Google saying message failed to
rec....@usenet.google.com
Above is example, the first bit is usenet group name.

So I gather the person who operates server usenet.google.com got intoxicated at Xmas party
and tripped over the cables, and nobody at Google cares enough to fix it.
