everything works as advertised, except for a minor annoyance. On the
pages where I have installed the inline javascript code the history
mechanism stops working. Ie, when I press the back/forward buttons of
my browser I stay on the same page.
In the beginning I thought it was the window.timesloaded++ trick, but
after some examination this doesn't seem to be the problem.
thanks in advance for any help,
-g.
I'm pretty sure this is a known issue. I'll reply back when we have a fix.
-Bob
Interesting, can you elaborate please?
*thank* you in advance,
George.

I'm assuming it's related to this issue. It's not exactly as you
reported but it's close enough that the issues are probably related.

I've also noticed the problem myself on some of the Friend Connect
integrations I'm responsible for, so it looks like it's a fairly
wide-spread issue right now. I'll get back to you as soon as I know
more.
-Bob
Can you provide a site URL and exact steps to reproduce? I want to
make sure that when we fix the problem we test our fix against your
site to ensure it's actually resolved.
-Bob
1) go here: http://www.brianclifton.com/
2) make sure you are not signed into GFC. You will know because you
will see a "Loading..." then see the sign in button
3) click "About me" towards the top
4) hit back. Expected behavior is that it will go to original URL.
However, rendering the sign in is forcing a redirect which breaks the
back button.
Brian
click on any link on the page and then try to click the browser's back
button (nothing happens, you stay on the same page).
thank you,
-g.

I was experiencing the problem in IE and Chrome. I tried in these
browsers:
-Chrome 3.0.195.38
-IE 6 / 7 / 8
-FF 3.5.5
I tried again in all of the browsers. It only happens in Google
Chrome now...

Ok, cool! I'm glad I'm not the only one who did a double-take. It's
only breaking for me in Chrome as well. Just wanted to make sure.

Ok, so I guess it's a Chrome-specific bug then. I'm hoping we'll have
a fix for this shortly.
