Hello,

For the past day or so, the Members, Activity and Poll gadgets have
been off line. The frames come up empty when I load the page...

http://www.musictube.com/interact.html

Thanks for any info.

Yes, I confirm that. Gadgets and JS API on my site are also
offline....

This is very annoying because I use GFC to authenticate members.

It seems like GFC project was abandoned by google.

GFC is missing on at least half of the websites I'm visiting.

Is there an update from Google....?

Back on line this morning. Maybe it was a maintenance thing?

My sign in and members gadgets are currently offline.

I hate google! They make everything harder than it needs to be. This forum is a good example - but I digress.
I'm having the same problem. When I log in to GFC I have no followers. I can't see GFC on any blog and my clients want answers.
I've tried several different browsers, created new gadgets, nothing shows on any of my sites or the sites of my clients.
Google is just worthless, I'm going to look into a Yahoo Friend Connect.

Hey, if you can see the GFC on my site, please let me know: http://stuckathomemom.com/

StuckAt HomeMom:

After a bit of research, I found an error message in your GFC iframe. The text is as follows:
This is probably the source of your issues. I would suggest looking into this and your server's same-origin policy.
Note: This was in Google Chrome for Linux.

Cheers,

Thanks, but I can't see GFC on ANY website, not only mine.
No matter what website I visit GFC does not show up (Godaddy, Gator, Blogspot - nothing).
What would cause that? And I'm not the only one, it seems almost no one can see GFC.

That is odd... However, I checked out the GFC gadgets sample sites... Those that still exist seem to be working fine(Ex: Guitar Universe). Maybe your code needs to be updated? Or perhaps Google removed support for some of the gadgets you're using?

Cheers,

The Guitar Universe site is not currently showing the GFC stuff. I just today put the members gadget onto a webpage for a test (so I know my code is fully updated), and all I see is the border. nothing renders inside.

You're right. What's weird is that when I checked it(two hours ago), it was fine. I think that Google may be having some server issues. Also, the same error message I mentioned before appears.

I wouldn't have thought anything of it except I joined a group where we go around joining each others GFC sites.
After visiting 6 or 7 sites where I couldn't find GFC I figured it was my laptop. (Win 7 almost brandy new all updated)
So I moved to the kids desktop (relic, XP, slow as crap) tried all the browsers but each site I visited wouldn't show GFC.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the new rating system?
They are doing away with the PR system, maybe GFC will be part of the new rating system or maybe they have something else that will be part of that system.
Regardless, I have a contest for a $25 Chili's Gift Card I need to get started and the POINT of the contest is to get followers on GFC.
It would be nice if Google could tell us when it's going to be back up or if something else is coming!!!

I'm so sick of Google.

Can anyone give an idea of how long it is going to stay down?

@Mateo28,
We don't know if it's even coming back up.

They just had some server issues. Happens all the time. Please stop being so melodramatic.

To add on to my last, yes it will cause me some huge issues if it goes down permanently, but nothing is unsolvable. Moreover, google is always really good at providing advance notice when they cancel a project.

Dude, Take a breath - It's Google! Google doesn't have feelings.
I didn't realize you were romantically involved with the program, I apologize.
