We are excited to announce an opportunity for startups from Poland to attend, pitch and be featured at TechWeek 2013 in Chicago. Do IT with Poland, powered by Google for Entrepreneurs, 4th Wave Consulting and the Polish American Chamber of Commerce, aims to send 5 teams to Chicago to showcase the innovation in Poland. Startups will be given $4,800 amount of funding each, free entry to TechWeek and a spot at the “Do IT with Poland” lounge to showcase their venture.


In addition, the winners will get the opportunity to take part in the TechWeek 2013 LAUNCH pitch competition and win over $100,000 in cash and prizes!


Who qualifies?

  • Polish digital technology startups

  • Startups less than 3 years old

  • Startups who have received less than $2M of funding

  • Available to pitch on May 6th in Krakow or over Google+ Hangout.

  • Able to travel to Chicago June 27-29 and cover any additional travel related costs


How does it work?

A selection of startup programs across Poland, like you, are being asked to nominate 1-2 of the best startups in your program. Once we receive the nominations, we will select the top 20 applicants to pitch in front of a panel of judges in Krakow or if necessary, over Google+ Hangout. The top 5 will be given a stipend to travel to TechWeek 2013 in Chicago and be showcased in the "Do IT with Poland" lounge.


What’s the timeline?  

  1. Fill out the Application with these startups’ details by April 28th.

  2. Top finalists will be invited to demo on May 6th, where top 5 will be chosen to travel to Chicago.

  3. Winners will be given an award to travel to Chicago for TechWeek from June 26th through June 29th, where they will host a "Do IT with Poland" lounge.

  4. Upon returning, the winners will share their experience at an Google for Entrepreneurs Krakow event.

Some of you were asking me about the number of startups you can nominate. Initially we were thinking of one or two per accelerator/incubator, but if you have more interesting ones, feel free to nominate more.
