To great minds @ GOOGLE

When i look up a ticker on google finance, i have the chart where now
i can add tech indicators.
Even though i can save my time interval of the chart and type of plot
(line, ohlc, candlestick). I can't seem to save my additions of tech
indicators.
It will be COool like other cool things to have the chart settings
saved.

Hi Jokepie,

Your chart settings (including any Technical Indicators you select)
will be automatically saved when you're logged in. And you'll return
to those settings next time you log in again.

Hope that helps,
Laura

Laura,

The new format for message board threads is really causing problems.  It is so bad that some people are moving to Yahoo or other boards.  My little group of people can't even communicate anymore - without a lot of effort.  Here is why:

Previously, a thread could be kept at the "top three" by simply posting.  So, if we have a thread we are all participating in, any post to it automatically puts it at the top of the list.  If a spammer or other undesired poster writes a new post, we simply ignore it and it moves down the list.

Under the new format, every new posts goes to the top of this list, and moves the others down in chronological order, even if we post to it again.  If several spammers hit the board, the thread we were following gets pushed way down the list.  If you can remember the title of the thread, you can eventually find it, but sometimes the titles are changed.  Even if we do remember the title, the thread may get pushed down two or three pages.

Hopefully, you now better understand why we need the "top three" format.  It keeps us from having to read through pages of thread titles, and threads that we are following can be kept on the main page.

We first reported this issue in late October, yet nothing has been done about it.  Would you please pass this along.  I realize that google is now a corporate Juggernaut and everything moves through the system at the pace of cold taffy, but this is an issue serious enough for an individual to stand up and make a decision.  Those of us who use Google aren't impressed by who has what title and who needs their behind kissed in order to move up the corporate ladder.  If you are afraid to do anything about this issue, simply forward this e-mail to someone who isn't......or if you don't even want your name attached, send me back the e-mail addy of the person I need to correspond with and I'll handle it.

I am quite sure that someone thinks they have done something wonderful by making this change.....if he/she isn't tough enough to handle the fact that this was a screw-up, let him collect unemployment, but don't leave the message boards in this mess.  You are going to loose all of us.  As I said earlier, even Yahoo is easier to follow than this.

Lastly, please confirm you receipt of this message and tell us what you plan to do about it.  We have already received the "I understand your concern and we will be looking into this issue" message.  It is now time to take some action or deal with a mass exodus from the boards.  The reason most of us have stayed this long is because you told us you would "look into it."  If you think we are an isolated group of disgruntled posters, think again.  You can go to almost any well-used boards and find similar complaints.  So, I am asking that you either tell us what you plan to do, or tell us you plan to do nothing so we can move on.

Kindest regards,
Kevin Miller

Hi Laura,
Chart settings work but I found a bug.

- I set my technicals to 2 lines, SMA-50 and SMA-200
- I go back to Google Finance Homepage and click on the 1st stock in
My Portfolio: SMA lines show up.
- I go back to Google Finance Homepage and click on the 2nd stock in
My Portfolio: NO SMA lines show up.
- I go back to Google Finance Homepage and click on the 3rd stock in
My Portfolio: NO SMA lines show up.
- I go back to Google Finance Homepage and click on the last stock in
My Portfolio: SMA lines show up.
- I go back to Google Finance Homepage and click on the 2nd from last
stock in My Portfolio: SMA lines show up.

Please feel free to pass this finding along to the developers.

Thank you.

Thanks for point that out. I tried it in Firefox and it works!
I use Chrome often for Gmail and Google Finance and it's a bit ironic
that Google has this nagging bug in their own browser... go figure.
