Hi,

I'm writing an application for my use to do stock technical analysis
for Indian market. My requirements are below:

1. To get all symbol/script/quote for an exchange.

2. To Get historical data [should be adjusted with split]. This I can
get from following URL.

http://finance.google.co.uk/finance/historical?
q=LON:VOD&startdate=Oct+1,2008&enddate=Oct+9,2008&output=csv

3. To Get Live data with some more information like ask price, ask
size, sell, sell price, 52 week High, 52 Week Low, P/E ratio etc...
like yahoo provides.

4. Is this service free?

Please suggest.

Regards,
Anmol Kumar

Hello Anmol,

Google Finance is primarily intended as an end-user tool, not as a
source of downloadable data streams. As you know, we do have some APIs
that allow you to download some data, but if you do this on a massive
scale (i.e. every stock on the exchange) you will probably run into
some of our session limits.

We don't offer an API for this.

That's correct; though we don't offer this functionality for every
exchange. Our ability to provide CSV downloads of historical data is
limited by the specific licenses we have with each exchange.

All of our current Google Finance services and APIs are free.

You might find more answers on our finance APIs Google Group:
