I was wondering if anyone could let me know how to add Canadian stocks
to a portfolio in Google Finance?

Thanks in advance

Precede the stock with TSE:

Example:

TSE:X will give you access to the TSX Group stock
TSE:BMO will give you access to the Bank of Montreal

Please refer also to Finance help:

Can I add international stocks to my portfolio?
Yes, you can now add international stocks to your portfolio for stock
exchanges that we currently support. For example, to add Vodafone from
the London Stock Exchange to your portfolio, go to the "Add" section
on the portfolio page and enter "Vodafone" or "LON:VOD".You can also
just go to the Vodafone page and click on the "Add to portfolio" link
in the blue bar. We'll continue to expand our coverage of stock
exchanges worldwide.

You can find this at the following link:
http://www.google.com/googlefinance/faq.html#add_intl_stocks

Hope this helps.

that works great except for TSX-Venture stocks... i've tried to guess
the prefix code but to no avail... has anyone figured out this one?
