Because Google and Greensboro share the same values: innovation,
creativity, hard work, connectivity, full access to technology for all
people instead of the few, and the conviction that the best years are
ahead of us, not behind us.

Google wants and needs to grow their name in this area. They have
made that clear by their choosing of the new data center in Lenoir.
Google wants to change the world so why not change the world starting
with a city that has exponentially grown in the last 20 years. Google
and Greensboro should grow together. Google's presence in this area
has the potential to take Greensboro to the next point on Greensboro's
journey towards becoming one of the most technologically advanced
cities on the east coast. Google will benefit because while we
advance the Google name will advance as well. The amount of
companies, big and small, will be more apt to advertise on Google, and
community users will be more apt to use google products in the
future.
