Suggestion: Selectively Hide Profile Pictures

Some of my connections on Google+ have profile pictures so obnoxious
and/or repellant, that I don't want to see them. However, I'm fine
being their friend. It'd be great if I could selectively hide profile
pictures. Maybe not something everyone wants, weigh in as appropriate.
An extension could be created to do it if not merged into G+.
