VML推出得太超前了，其它浏览器都不支持，可以说从未普及过。

在一些web图形库里，还要用到它。比如，RaphaelJs，Dojo的画图工具。

但是vml是微软的IE唯一原生支持的在页面网页上画图的功能啊。

不知道你熟悉silverlight不？看到要与.net结合使用就没有去碰

google的excanvas正是为了解决在IE上支持HTML5中的canvas而创建的，以达到语法的统一，

一般的功能都有了，如果你需要更高级的功能，那就只好去找点VML的资料来看看了，

silverlight是MS推出的WEB富客户端，需要浏览器安装插件才能支持，比较类似于Flash（或者说比较类似于Flex）。

相对而言，我个人不太喜欢需要安装插件才能支持的功能。
