Uploaded from Mail.app to Gmail and folder structure not preserved - how to fix?

Hi, 

I'm having an issue with Google Email Uploader. I have all emails from an account in Mail.app, and want to upload to Gmail. I used Google Email Uploader to upload the messages the first time and checked

- Preserve all mail properties when possible .. 

- Put all uploaded mail in Inbox

- Assign mailbox names as Gmail Labels 

- Assign additional label 

This uploaded all the messages from Mail.app to Gmail, but folder structure wasn't preserved in Gmail. So I backed up Mail on my computer, deleted the emails from Gmail, and tried to upload again with Google Email Uploader using  

- Preserve all mail properties when possible .. 

- Assign mailbox names as Gmail Labels 

- Assign additional label 

Again, it looks like the folders I was expecting to exist do not exist. How do I fix this? It's pretty essential that emails be sorted properly within Gmail.

Hi Alison, it's a while since you posted this, but did you find a solution pls?

I am seeing the same behaviour.  The folders after upload appear as numbers, not labelled correctly.  Hopefully this can be fixed?

Take a look at the first post of this thread https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/google-email-uploader-mac/7Ll3-8WbIa4/kmN3IOqJ-JwJ I used it because I was having the same problems with the numbering and everything and it worked OK on OSX 10.8
