Migrating from Mac Mail POP accounts with *many* folders/subfolders to Gmail for Work . . .somewhat paralyzed by the thought

I use POP accounts in Mac Mail for my email accounts:

  • one iCloud
  • two gmail
  • one Earthlink
  • three for business #1 domain
  • two for business #2 domain

There are around 250 folders and subfolders as well.

I would like to migrate everything (including sent and deleted mail) over to Gmail for Work; there are easily 100k emails in there. Even after a lot (!!!) of online research, though, I'm not sure how my emails will be transferred over (folders vs. labels), let alone HOW to do it.

Will the Google Email Uploader for Mac work for me? Is it possible for a non-IT/programming person like me to do do this?

If you have any suggestions on where to start, what instructions to follow, how to prepare Mail (do I need to reorganize things or convert to IMAP?) or anything else please do chime in.

Thanks!

Roxanne

The tool should be fine for the transfer. The downside is the tool doesn't support folders so you're going to have to do one folder at a time and apply a label for each one as you go.
