I am running Google Email Uploader for Mac and it seems to be giving him 120 second delays as soon as I start. Nothing is being uploaded at all. Have you guys experienced this in the past few days? Is it down?

Unfortunately, due to changes in Google's server support for APIs and authentication, the application no longer functions; it needs a substantial rewrite.

I have removed the downloadable application from the project site, and added a notice to the project home page.

Any plans to do the rewrite? I used this myself back in January but was looking to do it for my bosses' computers and saw the message that is was no longer working. Would love to have a way to migrate their Apple mail into our new Google Apps accounts.

Thanks for your hard work on this, Greg!

There's no plan for a rewrite that I know of, unfortunately. It's pretty far from my day job, and it'd take a few weeks to do.

Hello everybody,

Too bad this tool is deprecated. Looked like it was very smart and functional.

I had to migrate some accounts this weekend and found a workaround using IMAP.

Let's say you want to migrate b...@oldmail.com to Gmail :
• in Apple Mail (or any desktop mail client), setup b...@gmail.com as an IMAP account (you might need to enable IMAP in the webmail settings)
• you should now have your old b...@oldmail.com (probably POP) and b...@gmail.com (IMAP) in your mail client
• select emails in b...@oldmail.com and drag them (or use "move to") to b...@gmail.com

The IMAP syncing should upload your mails to Gmail, preserving senders, timestamp, flags/stars, etc...

You might need some extras workarounds to preserve folders or labels, but at least your mails are uploaded :)

Good luck to all.
