Greetings!
It's been a while since we launched Google Earth Engine, and we thought it was about time to give you an update new Earth Engine developments.
First, we've been busily expanding our data catalog. This means adding new images to existing products, like the recently acquired 1.1 millionth Landsat image. It also means adding new products, like amulti-annual MODIS-based mosaicfrom Alessandro Baccini (Woods Hole Research Center) and Damien Sulla-Menashe (Boston University), and agreenest-pixel Landsat mosaic that helps overcome problems with clouds and hardware anomalies in the Landsat 7 satellite.
We've also been working on a number of new features, including the ability to download any imagery that is available onhttp://earthengine.googlelabs.com. We are currently beta-testing this feature with a small set of users. If you would like to use this feature, please send a note to eartheng...@google.com describing which data products you'd like to download (Landsat NDVI, for example), and giving us an idea about how you're planning to use the data. We'll be rolling the feature out slowly, so please don't be disappointed if you don't hear from us right away.
