Last week I released a new tool on
GPSies, which let you create a KML Tour by uploading a GPS file dynamically.
It determines the proprety of a GPS track: round or one way course. If it is a round course and the length of the trail is less than 20 km, the bearing is static.
If it is a one way course or longer the 20 km, the server calculates the bearing of each used point.
The length has also an impact to the amount of the used trackpoints and the height.
All public tracks of GPSies (over one million) downloadable as Google Earth Tour, see GE Icons below the maps (or find: "Fly tour as Google Earth Animation"). All files are generated dynamically.
Check this out (example):

P.S.: yes, this is kind of spam ;-), but I hope, it helps someone creating a KML Tour easily.
Best regards from Berlin, Germany.
