Switch units setting to metric

Is there any way how to switch units to metric (default is English
units - ft, miles etc.) displayed in status bar and scale?

Hi scorpi,

I cant see a way to do this directly either. I may be wrong but the
only method I can think of is to make a custom screen overlay that
displays the data in the format required.

Tools menu > Options... > 3dview > Units of Measurement
