Plotting Orbits

I've seen a couple of things speaking about plotting geocentric orbits
using GoogleEarth, but I haven't noticed anything in the API for doing
so. Is there a function for plotting a geocentric orbit or some pre-
existing example of how to do this? And if so, could someone please
point me to it?

The only mentions I have found so far appear to be plotting from a
list of collected points, so they are essentially connecting the dots
to draw the orbit. I am trying to plot a simulated satellite from
several provided variables (epoch, semi-major axis, inclination,
etc.), and I would like to have a true curve plotted if possible.

Also, I am still pretty new to KML (and orbits, actually), so there is
no such thing as being too detailed with me :) Thanks!
