Has anyone implemented Google Funding Choices?

I've taken a look at the doc and generated the script via GAM.

After adding to the site and accessing with the debug parameters outlined in the doc, there's a console error coming from the generated code: Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '^'

After debugging the site more, I am not sure that specific error is being generated by the Funding Choices script. Though the debug parameters are not forcing the modal to show.
So, I still do not think the javascript is working.

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for reaching out to our API support team.

Can you please clarify if you will be using this for an SDK? If you are, I would refer you to the Google Developer Guides for the SDKs which should be present in the documentation you had initially linked. However, if you would have any concerns and clarifications regarding Google Funding Choices API, I would refer you to their Help Center, there should be a link for contacting them included. If you want, you may also try posting in Ad Manager's product community forum through this link and see if they can assist you with your concern.

Regards,

Hello Yasmin,

No. This is not being used for an SDK. This is for the Google Funding Choices API which is used on a publisher website.
The code was generated through Google Ad Manager.

Thank you for providing a link to the Google Funding Choices Help Center. Though, I could not find any links for contacting them.
Could you provide me with a method for contacting someone to assist?

I will also post in the Google Ad Manager Help Community.

Best,
Rachel Joyce

Hello again Yasmin,

As a follow up, I've included the related Google Ad Manager Help Community post I made. It is quite detailed. Though the link for contacting the help center for Google Funding Choices would still be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

Below is the post content

Google Funding Choices not working on my staging website. Since there is no community forum for  Google Funding Choices, I am asking here as suggested by a member of the Ad Manager API Team.

googlefc.getConsentStatus() always returns 5 - CONSENT_NOT_REQUIRED and thus the live preview does not show.
I am accessing the staging site in debug mode via the following URLs per the documentation.

The settings I am using are as follows..

For GDPR:
Personalized ads
200 Custom ad partners
Four purposes selected
Check reservation creatives for consent is selected
Check RTB (real-time bidding) partner creatives for ad partner consent is selected

For CCPA:
Restricted data processing

I have tried accessing in Chrome and in Firefox and in incognito mode. I have also ran googlefc.showRevocationMessage()
Nothing works.

I know this solution is fairly new - any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I can see others are having issues as well after browsing the threads- https://support.google.com/admanager/thread/66661150/google-funding-choices-not-working-googlefc-getconsentstatus-always-returns-unknown?hl=en

Hi Rachel,

We would recommend raising this to the Publisher support team as they may be able to assist you regarding this. You can reach out to them through this Support options link.

Hello,

I've already posted in the forum (I included the link to my post in my previous email) and under the 'Contact Publisher Support' in my GAM account it reads

Access to publisher support representatives isn't available to any of the Google Ad Manager networks associated with your account.

Is there any public support for the Google Funding Choices product?

I would appreciate any direction here. Even just an example where this product is running/working would be helpful.

Best,
Rachel

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for confirming this.

As for the Google Funding Choices support team, can you please confirm if the currently logged in email address in your browser session has access to a Google Funding Choices account? If you don't have access, I would suggest for you to create your own account or reach out to one of your colleagues/clients to try and check if they can see any links in the Google Funding Choices Help Center to contact the support team.

I'm afraid that we're not aware if their team provides technical support through a public link as we can only provide support for Ad Manager API related concerns.

Hi Rachel,

As this is a public forum, we would suggest for you to avoid posting materials that contain sensitive information moving forward. With that, I have removed your previous response.

As per my last response, I would suggest for you to create your own account or reach out to one of your colleagues/clients to see if they can assist you in contacting the Google Funding Choices API's support team.

Again, I'm afraid that we are not aware if their team provides technical support through a public link as well as their process for obtaining support as we can only provide support for Ad Manager API related concerns. Since you have posted your concern on Ad Manager's community forum, I would suggest for you to wait for a response from there.
