Hello,

We have recently started receiving AuthenticationError.NO_NETWORKS_TO_ACCESS errors when making requests to the reporting API. The errors appear to only happen on our production instance, which makes me think potentially there's some IP throttling occurring. Oddly, only certain combinations of dimensions / metrics are causing this and some jobs run fine, while others consistently fail. These jobs have run for years without errors and nothing has been changed on our end, so feeling confident the issues like within the GAM reporting API somewhere. The same jobs keep failing using the same credentials as the report jobs that work, so I do not believe it is related to credentials / permissions.

e.g a report with this config is failing:

     columns = [
        'AD_EXCHANGE_TOTAL_REQUESTS',
        'AD_EXCHANGE_RESPONSES_SERVED',
        'AD_EXCHANGE_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_CLICKS',

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Ad Manager API support team.

The error "NO_NETWORKS_TO_ACCESS" suggests that the user is not associated with any network. Can you please share the details of the user email or service account which you are using for accessing the Ad Manager API where it might be the case that it was not added in your Network. From the UserService, with the createUsers() method you would be able to create a User with a required role based upon your requirements. You may get all roles in your network with the getAllRoles() method. I would also suggest you to check the help article regarding Add and edit users, regarding service account refer to this link. Even after the user was added in your network still unable to access the Ad Manager API then, please share the screenshot from the Ad Manager 360 (UI) where you are able to find the user with a respective role (for reference check this link).

Thanks,

I won't share the exact service account here publicly, but I can confirm the same service account is used for all our GAM reporting API usage and only a subset of the reports started failing on one machine. The same exact script with the same credentials works without issue on our dev machines. I understand the that the NO_NETWORKS_TO_ACCESS error suggests a permissions issue, but I think I've been able to rule that out on my end, given the same credentials work when accessing the API using the exact same code from a different IP address. Hi team,

I'm trying to call SOAP APIs for other networks. For that, the networks' onwers added my service accounts to their GAM. In most networks it works fine but in some networks, it says AuthenticationError.NO_NETWORKS_TO_ACCESS and refuses access. We've checked the email address of the service account and roles granted many times but we couldn't find the reason.
Can you help me on this please?

Thank you.

oops I didn't know this would get automatically merged into the existing issue.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Ad Manager API support team.

I have reviewed your query and understand that you are encountering an 'AuthenticationError.NO_NETWORKS_TO_ACCESS' error while hitting a request through the Ad Manager API. The error NO_NETWORKS_TO_ACCESS is due to the user not being associated with any network and that the user has not enabled their production account for API access. Please provide us with the following details to investigate the issue further.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct private reply to this email.

Thanks,
