Hello team,

I'm trying to retrieve Report results from the Query created using "DFP UI". In that, Integer column matches that in DFP, but Currency and Decimal fields are not matching.
Please find the attachment of two files API_Exported_Report and DFP exported_report. I'll compare them first.

Matching columns but may not be sorted perfectly:
1. TOTAL_INVENTORY_LEVEL_UNFILLED_IMPRESSIONS and Unfilled impressions
2. TOTAL_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_IMPRESSIONS and Total impressions
3. TOTAL_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_CLICKS and Total clicks

Non-matching columns:
1. TOTAL_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_CPM_AND_CPC_REVENUE and Total CPM and CPC revenue (US$) : I know I've to divide by 1000000 but I don't know why and will it always stay 1000000.
2. AD_EXCHANGE_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_REVENUE and Ad Exchange revenue (US$): Same as above.
3. AD_EXCHANGE_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_AVERAGE_ECPM and Ad Exchange average eCPM (US$): Same as above.
4. TOTAL_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_CTR and Total CTR: I found that I've to multiply by 100, may be because it's percentage.
5. AD_EXCHANGE_LINE_ITEM_LEVEL_CTR and Ad Exchange CTR: Multiply by 100, since it's percentage.

I would like a confirmation that If there is any standard formula (I mean will it vary from network to network) that I can follow for certain type of columns (i.e Currency or Decimal).

Thank you.

Instead of getting CSV we started getting XLSX and we fixed that issue. But we see great differences in UI & API revenue generated income. Did you solve this?

Hello All,

You can change the export type to XLSX as Galinos mentioned so you are not doing any conversions. It will always be 1,000,000 as currency metrics will be in micro units for CSV export format. For example $1 USD = 1,000,000.

@Galinos

Can you create a new thread with your report discrepancy so we can keep track of the issues separately? Please share the report query that can be found in the SOAP logs, network code, and screenshot of the UI report showing the dimensions, metrics, and date range selected.

Thanks,
Nicholas Figeac, DFP API Team

Hello Galinos,

The only reason for the great differences that I could think of is, the Date and time of the report you are pulling. If you are comparing data between DFP Dashboard and API, the criteria for last 7 days is, assume today is Jan 13 2018. you should consider report dates excluding the current day. i.e from Jan 6th to Jan 12th but not 13th. and whether it is 7 or any no of days, you should always set the date and time of Timezone of the respective Network. You can find Timezone info in Admin -> Global settings (DFP UI).

Briefly,

From date and time :  2018-01-06T00:00:00 (Jan 6th 2018, 12:00 AM)
To date and time     :  2018-01-12T23:59:59 (Jan 12th 2018, 11:59 PM)
with date and time converted to the respective Timezone.

As Nicholas said, it would be better if you create new thread with both data and query (both UI and API).
Let us know for any further clarifications.

Thank you.

Hello and Thank you for your reply.

We actually took the reports on fixed dates (rather than using the predefined date picks in both cases) and we did it on the “previous month” assuming results are not yet finalized but then we went to purely historical data.

We will open a new thread and post details there. I see you guys are on top of the project and that gives us reassurance that our move to DFP API will not derail our current reporting tool.

Thank you for your time!!

Galinos
