Hello there Google team,

Whenever I try sending a line item to dfp with 'targetPlatform' = 'ANY' , I get the following error:

Unmarshalling Error: cvc-enumeration-valid: Value 'ANY' is not facet-valid with respect to enumeration '[WEB, MOBILE]'. It must be a value from the enumeration.

Is there anyway that I could push 'ANY' as a value when a line item is created? It says I should be able to in the api documentation:
https://developers.google.com/doubleclick-publishers/docs/reference/v201308/LineItemService.LineItem#targetPlatform

Thanks for the help,
dfp_robot

I am having similar issues as listed below - does something need to be set in the DFP network to allow setting the target platform to ANY? I tried with multiple networks and versions of the API, all of which include ANY as an enumeration in the docs.

Thanks!

Hi All,

I had responded to OwnerIQ off the thread - but there might be a couple of issues causing this (mainly that your network isn't enabled for platform unification: http://googleadsdeveloper.blogspot.com/2013/09/how-dfps-new-universal-inventory.html).

Can you provide a bit more detail here on:

1) what network ID are you referring to when you're running into these issues?
2) is this a test network?

With a bit more context, I think we can figure out what's wrong.

Best,

Hi Nicholas -

We have been trying this with many networks (all production), but one example id is 61381659. We assumed that the network was enabled for platform unification because creating a line item in the UI doesn’t prompt for Web versus Mobile target platforms.

If the network needs to be explicitly enabled, is that a request to our Google account contact, etc?

Thanks!

Hi Matt,

I checked the requests coming in for that particular network (specific to creating line items with targetPlatform = ANY and it looks like all of them were made with v201211 (https://developers.google.com/doubleclick-publishers/docs/reference/v201211/LineItemService.LineItem#targetPlatform)

for which you'll notice only has WEB and MOBILE as options.  Can you update your version of the API and try again?

Thanks!
