I'm looking to connect into the Ad Manager API with the service account access without any libraries.  I'm looking to run very few endpoint calls so it doesn't make sense to download the entire library and take up useless memory.

There's no information exposed of the SOAP endpoint to hit / how to structure it and etc.  I wish Google caught up with times and made this REST/JSON based, but I don't think we have any insight on that?

Hi Michael,

If you don't want to use the supported client libraries of Ad Manager API, you can construct a SOAP request by following the structure as specified in this link. You may also refer to this link to know how to construct the SOAP request with authentication specifically the access token.

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick response Vincent.

As I dig through the documentation, would you guys recommend using the Ad Exchange Buyer API (which seems to be a RESTful interface).  We have our DFP account, we're moving all our platform's promotional text, creatives and ads into DFP (per our google account manager's recommendation).  Ideally we use the API in the backend to see (and load) if ads exist for specific area of the site, we do not want to load via javascript as some creatives are daisy chained with elements on page.

Hi Michael,

My apologies as I can't provide further comments about using the Ad Exchange Buyer API. However, if you have an Ad Manager network, then the recommended API to use is the Ad Manager API for managing your network's data. Just let me know if you have further questions/clarifications regarding it and I'll gladly assist you.
