Hello team,

We have Ad Manager (DFP Small Business) account. And we want to test the GAM pod setup. As per this link - https://support.google.com/admanager/answer/6399249?hl=en
It is available only in Ad Manager 360 (DFP Premium)

Do we have any Ad Manager Sandbox Environment, where I can test it?
Or
How can I upgrade to Ad Manager 360? how much it costs? I am unable to see upgrade / Sign up page for it.

Please help!

Thanks,
Shriprasad S. Marathe

Hi Shriprasad,

Thanks for reaching out to our API support team, I hope you're safe and doing well.

You may set up billing in Google Ad Manager 360 and enter into a paid contract to serve and pay for impressions, and gain direct access to Google support as stated through here. Only users assigned as a "Legal manager" can sign up for a paid account. If this is not your user role, please contact your Ad Manager administrator. You can learn more about user roles and permissions here.

You can create a test network if you want to test the API in a separate environment. Do note that you do not need an AdSense account for test purposes.

Please reach out if you have any further clarifications.

Regards,

Thanks for the response. Few questions

1. How can I create test network from Ad Manager UI? I have Ad Manager (DFP Small Business) Account
2. Does test network supports Ad Manager 360 -  Ad Pod functionality? I want to test it out.

Hi Shriprasad,

Please check this link out from our documentation which states how to make a test network, moreover it is also a guide on testing and production. It is also stated here that test networks are, by default, Ad Manager networks and do not have any features from Ad Manager 360. But as per the help center article you have provided, the feature is only available in Ad Manager 360. With that, to have additional features turned on, please contact your account manager.

Let us know if you encounter any further errors.

Thanks for the reply!

  • Test networks are, by default, not Ad Manager 360 networks, meaning that they do not have the premium features found in Ad Manager 360 networks.
Question

1. If I have Ad Manager 360 then Test Networks will have access to premium features .. Is that understanding is correct? - I want to test my set up with GAM Pod.

Hi Shriprasad,

In order to be able to create video ad tags for optimized pods, as per this help center article, it is only available in Google Ad Manager 360. On the other hand, in order to test in a separate environment, you would need to create a test network as per our documentation. However, it states there that test networks are, by default, not Ad Manager 360 networks, meaning that they do not have the premium features found in Ad Manager 360 networks. I would recommend to please be in contact with your account manager as they should be able to provide insights on this.
