FeatureError.MISSING_FEATURE while creating Video Creatives

Hi API Team,

We are trying to create Ad manager hosted Video Creatives in GAM, via API v202402.
SOAP request can be sent directly.

Unfortunately, this runs in an error

[FeatureError.MISSING_FEATURE @ [0].videoSourceUrl; trigger:'VIDEO_CREATIVES_VIDEO_SOURCE_URL'.

I have also attached the screenshot of the same error.

Please guide us through this, how can we proceed on this process.

Thank you for contacting the Ad Manager API support team.

Based on the information provided, I understand that you are getting '[FeatureError.MISSING_FEATURE @ [0].videoSourceUrl; trigger:'VIDEO_CREATIVES_VIDEO_SOURCE_URL']' error while creating video creatives using the Ad manager API. This means the video feature is not enabled in your network. I would suggest reaching out to your Account Manager to enable this missing feature in your network so that you would be able to create Video creative with video source url. Please refer to this help article on how to enable features in UI.

Hi  Ad Manager API support team,

Thanks for replying.

Can there be any other reason for this error, because we are able to create the Video creatives via GAM website, but for the same account the API is not working and throwing the earlier error that I have posted.

Please let us know if there is anything missing from our side, or could you please provide the sample object that is needed to be sent to create the video creatives, that would be a lot of help, as we are stuck at this step and are unable to proceed.

Hi,

According to the API documentation, this error occurs when you don't enable the ” Video creatives video source URL"  feature with Id 418806491 in your network. Please refer to this help article on how to enable features in the UI. If still the issue persists, please provide us with the following details to investigate the issue further.

• Network code.
• UserService.getCurrentUser (if unable, you may just provide the email address used to make API requests).
• Complete SOAP request and response logs from API (SOAP logging must be enabled).

Hi,

Seems like we don't have the option (with Admin Access) to enable the Video Creatives as suggested by you earlier, I've also attached a screenshot of the "Global Settings" to confirm the same.

Please provide an EmailID for support , where I can share the Network code and other sensitive information which I can't share over here.

Please guide us through this, as the development is stuck at this point because of this error.

I have reviewed the information and understand that you do not have access (Admin rights) to enable the video creatives feature in your network. I would recommend contacting your Google Technical Account Manager (TAM) representative to discuss enabling the missing permissions of the user in your network. If you do not have a TAM assigned to you then you can get in touch with the publisher support team via the Ad Manager Help Community for further assistance, since we assist you only with the technical issues / concerns related to the Ad Manager API.
