Hi, we used batchinsert to import offline conversions to CM. We have 999 conversions to import and it only inserted 19 of them. There weren't many errors when we ran the script.

We pulled a floodlight impression report and it showed over 4,300 impressions but find that odd since we only inserted 999. When pulling a floodlight conversion report, we see only 19 rows. Something doesn't add up. Why do we see far more floodlight impressions than the actual rows in the raw report?  Also, shouldn't the floodlight conversion report actually show all the inserted data?

Hi Karen,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

With regard to your concern, since you mentioned that the API didn't return any response errors upon batchInsert call, then it safe to assume that the conversions were successfully uploaded. Is the conversion in question recently uploaded and not more than 24 hours when it was uploaded? If so, uploaded conversions will generally be processed and available to report on within 24 hours. You may check this document for further details regarding this.

There were some errors. Just not many. About 80% were successful. The errors that we're getting are mostly "match ID not found" but they should all be found so that doesn't make sense either. Can you give me an example of how you would handle multiple inserts at once?

Hi Karen,

For uploading multiple conversion in one request, you just need to list it on conversion object. In addition, each API call can have up to 1000 conversions.

With regard to the error that you're getting, would you able to identify the specific conversion request that returns the said error? If so, could you please provide the following details?
  • DCM Account ID / Network code
  • Profile ID being used in the request
  • request body and API response showing the "match ID not found" error
