Following previous messages and integration failure when syncing ads to Google by our customers, we understood that there is a missing parameter in the click tracker, and it should be added to any new integration from September 2023.
The recommendation we got was to add “dc_transparent=1”
We would appreciate your help answering the following -
What is the meaning of this parameter and the hard coded value we are advised to place? (“1”)
If we understand correctly, adding the parameter may affect the page the user will be led to, how will it affect customers who wouldn’t like to have a different URL presented?
Is there a way using the DCM UI for the end user to add this parameter independently when needed? If not, how can we provide the user such flexibility?
Is it considered a new tracker? (with the parameter) if so, what is the effect on all performance data driven from the “old” tracker? And how should the user create the correlation?
dc_transparent
: When dc_transparent=1
, it indicates that the tag shows the URL redirect chain. This is included when you use a static landing page URL for the tracking and click tracker ads on a placement. Learn more about using a static landing page URL.![]() |
