issues getting started/Sample Libary

I'm getting started with the Python packages and having a lot of trouble.

The standard Pip- install works for the main libary , but the sample library which was split out from the main repro just refuseses every attempt at installation. I followed the guide which said pull it down using Git - which I have done, but this obviously isnt in my python Libary, so the functions it relies on cant be called

as a result the quickstart guides dont work, and I cant test to begin experimenting with the API to improve my reporting.

Does anyone have a corrected installation/setup guide which gets around this problem?
