Hi all,

Is there a Sandbox for DFA like the one for DFP?

Thanks,

G.

Hello!

There is indeed a sandbox, though it often gets called the test
environment in DFA. You can find the website interface for it at
advertiserstest.doubleclick.net and the web services at
advertisersapitest.doubleclick.net. The location of the WSDLs for both
production and test are on each service's Google Code site page. Ex.
http://code.google.com/apis/dfa/docs/reference/v1.16/ad/service.html

We don't automatically create sandbox accounts for all users; it's
typically only done when someone requests API access. If you need API
access or if you already have API access but no sandbox account, you
can requests both/either by filling out this form:
http://support.google.com/dfa/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=dfa6api

)
but I still can not find out the DFA sandbox registration form.
please reply soon.

You can request access to the DFA Sanbox/Test environment by filling
out the general API request form: http://support.google.com/dfa/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=dfa6api

If you already have API access, you can just note you only need a test
account.

Please note the sandbox is only available to current DFA customers.

Hi Joseph,

We are a software company and we sell ad sales and operations management related enterprise application. We already have our app integrated with DFP but we are looking to now integrate it with DFA.

Based on your comments, I understand DFA sandbox/test  environment is only available to DFA customers but we are not an agency/advertiser. How can we get access to DFA sandbox/test environment? What do i need to do to make it happen? We really need access to DFA sandbox.

Looking forward  to your response.

Hello!

The only way to get access to the sandbox is to get a current DFA customer to create a user profile for you on their test account. In the past, a bunch of software agencies have gone this route, finding an interested customer first and using their test account as a testbed.

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for the update.

Not a very developer friendly approach,  i must say.

Can I reach out to someone in developer relations within doubliclick business unit? We are trying to integrate/enhance doubleclick's technology, I should be working with you instead of asking potential customers to provide us access to their environment.

Can you provide us a name within doubleclick where we can register our request?

Best Regards,
Ashish

Hey Joseph,

Any ideas how to move this forward? What can we do to get access to a sandbox directly from doubleclick?

Best Regards,
Ashish

Hey Ashish,

I'll follow up on this internally. Historically there has been no way to get access directly from us. I'll let you know if this has changed.
