Hi!

I seem to have gotten a problem that should not be complicated but somehow I cannot seem to figure out.

I started setting up a data warehouse in BigQuery for my company, and have managed to draw data from GoogleAds to BigQuery through the Data Transfer function without any problem.

I tried doing the same with CM360, but noticed that are several differences, first being lack of scheduling options.

My major issue however, is the fact that I also need to add the doubleclick ID (which I got) and a Cloud Storage Bucket to complete the Transfer. This is mainly what caused me headache. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this basically means that I need to create a Bucket in Cloud Storage, and BigQuery will gather the data from Storage instead of CM.
However, there is still the problem of the created Bucket being empty, as I cannot find a way to populate that Bucket with data from CM360. Going into the documentations, I found that I need something called - Campaign Manager Data Transfer v2 (Campaign Manager DTv2) files -, that I have no idea about.

When I contacted support about this, everybody started pointing fingers at each other, with no-one being able to provide a definite answer, about what these files are, and how do I get them. Someone from Google Support has also told me, that they saw that Data Transfer is not enabled on my CM360 account, but I am also not sure how to enable it, as I could not find that in the settings whatsoever. (Obviously, Data Transfer API is enabled in GCP.)

Anybody can help me on how to enable first of all Data Transfer in CM360, and how to send that data to Cloud Storage, so that I can connect the data with my other datasets in BigQuery? Scheduling options also would be welcome.

I really appreciate any help or ideas, as I face a complete dead-end.

Thanks,
Kristof

Hi Kristof,

Thank you for reaching out to us. However, our team can only provide technical assistance related to DCM API response issues. Since you mentioned that someone from other support team advice that you will need to enable something in your CM360 account, then it will be your best bet to contact our Product support team regarding this. Please do note that enabling API access is done on the UI side. All the permissions and restrictions for a user profile are configurable on the UI side as well. API considers those settings.

Please check the following help center articles:
