Hi,

We are thinking to plan a full server side tracking setup (without floodlight pixel) using the CM360 API only. I have some "general" questions :
- From what i know, CM360 allows advertisers to create audiences (for display retargeting) : this feature won't be available with a 100% server side tracking : am i right ? If so, would dropping the Floodlight pixel generate any other side effects ?
- In this page, we can see the field list related to User/DeviceID (encryptedUserID, dclid, gclid, matchId, etc..) : if only dclid and/or gclid are provided : that means that only conversions from users who were exposed to CM360 campaigns are tracked : is that correct ?
- a gclid coming from Google Ads (and not CM360) is usable and relevant to send ?

Thank you :)

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the DCM API support team.

Here are the answers regarding your queries:

- From what i know, CM360 allows advertisers to create audiences (for display retargeting) : this feature won't be available with a 100% server side tracking : am i right ? If so, would dropping the Floodlight pixel generate any other side effects ?

As it is more related to product rather than DCM API , can you please share us the Network ID, which is the Campaign Manager network (the equivalent of a partner ID in Display & Video 360) so that we can route to appropriate team for further assistance.

- In this page, we can see the field list related to User/DeviceID (encryptedUserID, dclid, gclid, matchId, etc..) : if only dclid and/or gclid are provided : that means that only conversions from users who were exposed to CM360 campaigns are tracked : is that correct ?

Yes, the conversions from users who were exposed to CM360 campaigns are tracked.

- a gclid coming from Google Ads (and not CM360) is usable and relevant to send ?

Yes, a gclid coming from Google Ads can be used, you can refer to this link for additional information.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct private reply to this email.
