On the other hand, if you are creating the report via the API, you may utilize the
reports.compatibleFields (
https://developers.google.com/doubleclick-advertisers/rest/v4/reports.compatibleFields) service to see which fields are valid given the ones you've already selected. The configuration of the report will be analyzed, and a response containing the compatible dimensions, metrics, and filters will be returned. Since the fields in this response are not all guaranteed to be compatible with one another, you may need to make multiple requests to ensure all the fields you choose will work together.
Moreover, if you are utilizing the API and the issue is persistent on your end, kindly share to us the below information so we can investigate further on our end.
- DCM Account ID
- Profile ID used in request call
- Request body & URL with path param values
- Complete API Response
- Screenshot of the equivalent report data in UI so we can mirror the report via API on our end
