Hello team,

We have observed over the past two days that user profiles that have recently been set to Inactive are still being returned by the userProfiles.list API call. Yesterday I set two profiles to Inactive in the CM UI as they were duplicate profiles for the same email address.

They have been inactive for over 24 hours, but are still being returned by the userProfiles.list method. It does not appear, however, that other inactive profiles are being returned, only these two that were recently active.

Our team believes this is a bug and wanted to escalate the issue as it is causing false positive errors in our code and possibly others. As the UserProfile resource does not have an `active` attribute, we are unable to filter this API call; converting the logic to use a different API call would be onerous because this process runs through approximately 700 different profiles, and having to filter by account would vastly increase the number of API calls required, which would increase the amount of time the operation takes.

Is this intended behavior, or a bug? Please let us know if you have any guidance.
Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the DCM API support team.

I understand that the method userProfiles.list is returning the inactive profiles. In order to investigate further can you please share us with the following details:
  • DCM Account Id
  • Profile Id's which are inactive
  • Complete JSON request and response logs
  • The user email / service account email used for authenticating the API query

Thanks,
