How to assign a DTK to existing Placement

Could you please help me how to assign DTK to the existing placements through API.

Can you kindly clarify what you mean by DTK? On the other hand, if you wish to update an existing placement, kindly take note that you can only update the existing properties of that placement as indicated in this document.

Hi Maia,

DTK means Dynamic Targeting Keys. I have DTK Key like "tactic-tuc" in the input file, I have to assign the key to the existing placement through API. How can I select the DTK key to the respective placements?

I'm afraid that assigning Dynamic Targeting Keys only applies at CM UI side as the only thing that can be assigned to placement via API are listed on this placement properties.

 

To create a key in your ad, creative, or placement properties in CM UI side:

1. Go to the Dynamic targeting keys section of your ad, creative, or placement's properties.
2. Click Assign targeting key.
3. Enter a new key in the search field. 
4. Click (create new) to create a new key for the current advertiser. The new key will automatically be assigned after it's created.
5. Click Save.
