Hi,

I have code running on servers which implements Oauth2 for login into Dfa Reporting API and pulling reports.

Today, when logging in, it went to LoginVerification Page stating " It looks like you're signing in from an unusual location. For your protection, please help us verify your identity."

It worked fine until yesterday. What could be the reason for this check and how to resolve it through the code?

Thanks,
Maleka S

Hi Maleka,

You can see this sort of alert for many reasons, as outlined here. They are a security measure to ensure your account remains secure, and require manual intervention to resolve.

This issue never occur before. Is there a way to whitelist ip addresses? So , if any calls made through this set of IPs will be acknowledged and not require verification.

Thanks!

Hi Maleka,

I don't know the exact details of how this detection works, but I believe if you've followed the verification steps you should not encounter any more alerts under normal use. You would only get these alerts again if something changes (as outlined in the article I linked ealier) or suspicious activity is detected.
